May 2020 playlist montageClick here to listen to my full 2020 playlist on Spotify

Another strange month comes to an end but, at least where I’m living, on a more positive note as things start to reopen (though we await any kind of announcement about full scale gigs happening again).

With that in mind I have another motley selection of tracks that I’ve been listening to this month – some brand new stuff from the likes of Coastal Fire Dept, Fontaines D.C., Les Futiles and Brave Yesterday.

A few older bits from IDLES, The Distillers and Thee Jenerators and some going back even further from Manic Street Preachers, The Fuzztones and Elton John.

You can listen on Spotify by clicking here or the list is below (for some reason the embedded playlist isn’t working at the moment)…

Playlist

  • Manic Street Preachers – Little Baby Nothing (from Generation Terrorists)
  • Coastal Fire Dept – You Are Stuck (single)
  • Thee Jenerators – Daddy Bones (from The Devil’s Chords)
  • Fontaines D.C. – A Hero’s Death (single)
  • IDLES – The Idles Chant (from Meat)
  • Les Futiles – Black Heart (single)
  • Elton John – Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting (as heard on Rocketman)
  • The Fuzztones – Heathen Set (from In Heat)
  • The Distillers – I Am A Revenant (from Sing Sing Death House)
  • Brave Yesterday – My Vice (from Everything, All At Once EP)

And for my bonus one this month it’s one form Channel Island power metal titans Nemesis as I recently revived my review of their comeback gig from over a decade ago
