This is an excerpt of an article written by Tom Girard
A real mix of stuff added to the playlist this month from several, possibly unlikely sources.
From the Channel Islands there are tracks from Guernsey’s WaterColour Matchbox who put out their new album Pathways and from Jersey there are new singles from Hot Plastic (Time Bomb) and Hot Juice (Small Town Blues).
There are a few blasts from the past courtesy of Bruce Springsteen (and the new film Blinded By The Light) and Mötley Crüe as they mark 30 years of Dr. Feelgood.
There’s brand new stuff from Ghost’s new EP Seven Inches Of Satanic Panic, 3TEETH’s METAWAR and Tiger Army’s Retrofuture.
And from the abundance of live wrestling shows this month is Ayumi Nakamura’s Kaze Ni Nare, the theme of Japanese legend Minoru Suzuki, and my first classic selection for the playlist, Swan Lake Op 20 (if I’ve titled that correctly), the entrance theme for upcoming British wrestler, Cara Noir.
You can listen to all of those and the rest of my playlist for the year on Spotify by clicking here or it’s embedded below.

And for my bonus video this month its one from the Mercury Prize ceremony that is, unfortunately, somewhat cut but it still gives the idea as Slowthai makes a statement with Doorman (which also has a Guernsey link as the album version was produced by Mura Masa):
